Designed for those who have a comprehensive understanding of software quality development and implementation; have a thorough understanding of software inspection and testing, verification, and validation; and can implement software development and maintenance processes and methods
Initial requirements:
You must have eight years of on-the-job experience in one or more of the
areas of the Certified Software Quality Engineer Body of Knowledge. A
minimum of three years of this experience must be in a decision-making
position. If you have a degree, diploma or certificate program beyond
high school, you may be able to waive some of the required experience.
You must then pass 1 exam ($390). There is a 3 - 5 hour time limit for the exam, and a passing score of 550 is required. ASQ members save $140 off the exam price. ASQ membership costs $25 - $129 annually.
Continuing requirements:
Must recertify every 3 years either by completing professional activities that qualify for credits or by testing.
