Performance Counters:  Tomcat
To monitor a tomcat we have to use JMX feature of java and jconsole. Jconsole is a JMX-compliant monitoring tool which provides information on performance and resource consumption of applications running on the Java platform. Tomcat runs within a JVM. The JVM periodically performs garbage collection (GC) to remove java objects which are no longer being used. We can monitor the same locally or remotely.
