Over the past 16 years, the iqnite conference has developed to become an
important means of sharing thoughts and ideas within the software quality
community. With its hard-to-beat coverage of the latest trends in quality
management and testing, it ranks amongst the top independent conferences in its
segment.
As well as being a meeting place for experts from a wide range of
industries, iqnite brings you together with professionals
from your field and others to talk about experiences and best practices
concerning different technologies. Delegates also benefit from a professional
environment in which they can discuss a variety of application scenarios with
quality and testing experts. Added to all that, there will be representatives
of the academic sphere on hand to engage with delegates on visions, ideas and
trends prevalent in the academic world.
The iqnite conference series will be held in
seven countries in 2012: Germany, United Kingdom, Switzerland (Geneva and
Zurich), Australia, Sweden, Austria and South Africa.
The conference is aimed at management decision-makers, IT project
leaders, test managers, quality officers, heads of business departments and,
last but not least, anyone seeking answers to the question of how to cut costs
or boost productivity in today’s business climate. Executives from the world of
IT and business departments plus professionals who’ve spent several years as
testers are also extremely welcome.
The fact that iqnite meets delegates’ expectations is
mainly thanks to our speakers. By passing on their knowledge and experience on
innovations and best practices, they make a crucial contribution to the
conference. So, if you’re interested in speaking at the iqnite conference and being part of its
success story, we’d be happy to receive your submission.
Another key aspect of this conference is its programme committee,
consisting of experts who put together an innovative, informative and inspiring
programme based on the ideas submitted, unbiased by company interests. Each
submission will be examined by at least three members of the programme
committee and assessed using the following criteria:
- Relevance for
the field of quality management and testing
- Degree of
innovation (either in terms of the approach or in the form of lessons
learned)
- Applicability
- Approach taken in presenting the subject
matter to the audience
- Business value
for the company/the organisation applying the solution
Contributions that are primarily
marketing or PR for the speaker’s own business or products will be rejected by
the programme committee.
As industrialisation progresses
apace, IT is increasingly again being seen as a business enabler rather than
merely an end unto itself. Consequently, IT as well as quality management and
testing have to be applied according to the goals and demands. Therefore, we’ve
chosen the following slogan for the 2012 conference:
“Quality: Fit for purpose! Fit
for the future!”
Any type of quality management or
testing activity will be addressed with respect to the expected and achieved
goals. The programme will explore questions such as “What expectations need to
be satisfied and what business value must be achieved, in particular with
regards to the future?”, “What are the activities realising early benefits and
those sustainable benefits?”, “What goals can be achieved and how can progress
towards the goals be measured?”.
We’re looking for relevant,
innovative ideas that can be translated into practice and cover one or more of
the following topics:

o Compliance with regulations

o Non-functional requirements for the whole software lifecycle

Please send us your proposal in
one of the following two formats:
|
Presentations: |
Presentations
should provide an in-depth look at experiences, research findings, case
studies, solutions or future trends. Papers by industry and academic speakers
are equally welcome. Presentations last 40 minutes including
post-presentation discussion. |

|
Workshops: |
Workshops
give delegates an interactive forum, in which they can share ideas and learn
from each other. The number of participants is limited in order to ensure
maximum interaction. A workshop lasts 90 minutes. |
Proposals for iqnite 2012 Suisse should take the form of a
summary (approx. one A4 page, 3,500 characters) and be submitted using
“ConfTool”, which will also be used to manage them online. Please structure
your abstract as follows:
1.
Motivation: Why is this
topic important? Where are the ‘pains and potentials’ today and whom do they
affect?
2.
Basis: What conditions
need to be in place for the proposed solution to function? What is it dependent
on as basis?
3.
Solution: What is the
