To achieve the PTME certification, candidates must achieve a total of 18 credits by completing the following requirements:

The competency level exams
Each 3 credit course offers participants the opportunity to complete the corresponding competency level exam. A grade of 80% or better is required to obtain full course credits. Tests normally consist of an online multiple choice and/or hands-on exam.
The certification exam
The final certification exam is a day-long event offered on a quarterly basis at our Lexington, MA or San Mateo, CA training facility. Candidates must have completed all the required course work in order to sit the exam.
For the test, participant are given a scenario with sample applications and all the necessary Segue® tools to define a test strategy, create a test plan, implement the plan, and provide a final report.
